Coloured socks with a higher cotton content have a reinforced padded terry sole in a practical dark melange, which absorbs shocks and vibrations. They are comfortable to walk in and can withstand the strain of running or other sports. Outdoor socks are breathable, the high cuff does not constrict the leg, and the elastic bandage on the instep prevents the sock from twisting.
